As spring arrives, bringing vibrant colours and fresh beginnings, it’s the perfect time to engage in a mental spring clean.
Spring colours bursting into life mirror the colours of our energy chakras and offer a fabulous way to not only enjoy precious time outdoors grounding ourselves in nature, but also a focus on where limiting beliefs hold us back and how to grow in confidence by clearing cluttered energy.
I’m Angela from A C Coaching, I’m a coach, physio, acupuncturist and energy healer, and I believe in enhancing the power of coaching by integrating traditional and holistic techniques.
Spring’s bright colours—greens, pinks, yellows—symbolize renewal and vitality. Similarly, chakra colours represent different aspects of our energy and well-being:
– Root Chakra (Red -Tulips): Stability and grounding
– Sacral Chakra (Orange- Narcissi): Creativity and pleasure
– Solar Plexus Chakra (Yellow- Daffodils): Confidence and self-esteem
– Heart Chakra (Green -New leaves): Love and compassion
– Throat Chakra (Blue -Bluebells): Communication and expression
– Third Eye Chakra (Indigo – Crocus): Intuition and insight
– Crown Chakra (Violet – Grape Hyacinth): Spiritual connection
Harnessing the energy of spring colours can help us align with our chakras, fostering emotional balance and clarity.
Seven Tips for Spring Cleaning Your Mind:
- As you look at the spring flowers outside, through a window or in a picture, place your hand over the chakra which matches the colour, take a deep breath and imagine a new fresh energy.
- Concentrate on the meaning at each chakra and do you recognise any negative thoughts you hold that might hold you back. Write them down to confront them head-on. For example, do you have self-doubt and need to work on the solar plexus with yellows? Or are you reluctant to voice your feelings and need to work on the throat chakra with blues? Which colour are you drawn to? Can you resonate with the chakra that needs work?
- Challenge and reframe how true any negative thoughts are. Replace them with positive affirmations that boost your confidence. For example, “I am able to speak freely.” or “I find creative solutions to any problems I have.”
- Declutter Your Mind by moving swirling thoughts out of your head and onto paper so you can focus on the present. A daily journaling habit is very helpful.
- Set Intentions, not dreams. What do you intend to achieve this season. Setting clear intentions acts like planting seeds from which actions grow
- Surround Yourself with Positivity and Colour. Connect with uplifting people and helpful communities that will support you as you move towards your goals. Choose flowers, a scarf, a postcard or a crystal that reinforces the chakra you want to activate.
- Build confidence through taking small, sustainable steps that align with your intentions. Celebrate your progress and be kind to yourself as you grow – comforting pinks can help support you as you move forwards.
