The Rotary Swimarathon will be held on March 21st, 22nd and 23rd 2026 at South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre Swimming Pool, make sure you put the date in your diary!

What is the Swimarathon?

The event brings together individual teams, normally up to 6 sponsored swimmers in each, to swim in relay for a total of 40 minutes and then together for 5 minutes of “mayhem”. The donations collected by team members are made available through the Rotary Club of South Woodham Ferrers Charitable Trust in support of good charities and worthy causes.

Teams taking part can also nominate 50% of the funds raised by them to go to their own nominated registered charity.

New Family Swim for 2026

This year we are making the Sunday Swim a Family Swim with a prize for the Family who swim the most lengths. It will be held at 12-30, 13-30 and 14-30 on Sunday 23rd with 6 lanes of up to 8 swimmers in each time slot.

So why not put a team in with Nan’s, Grandad’s, Mum’s, Dad’s, Brother’s, Sister’s, any members of your Family and even the children! It’s NOT a race, it’s just for family fun and you help raise money for Charity.
