Officers investigating a multi-vehicle collision on the M11 in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 16 November) are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
We were called at just before 1am to reports of a collision involving a number of vehicles on the southbound carriageway of the motorway between junctions six and five.
The road was closed for a number of hours while emergency services worked at the scene.
Seven vehicles were involved and a number of people were taken to hospital for further assessment by ambulance colleagues.
Officers faced a number of challenges as they worked on the scene, with some motorists getting out of their vehicles and others attempting to reverse along the hard shoulder.
While we understand people’s frustrations when they are faced with a delay in their journey, it is vital that people behave responsibly and follow the rules of the road.
Enquiries into the incident are continuing and we would like to thank the majority of drivers for their patience.
