At Helen Rollason Cancer Charity we offer a range of support through the use of complementary therapies as well as counselling, mindfulness, yoga and more. Or just somewhere to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat.

We’re here to support anyone with any type of cancer at all stages. Our aim is to provide a safe space where people don’t have to put on a brave face. A relaxing and calming place. All of this is funded through our retail sales in shops and eBay, kind donations and the events we organise.

Walk For Helen

Join us on Saturday 12 September for a 2, 5 or 10 mile walk. Whether you’re an experienced walker, taking part as a family, or joining with friends and colleagues you will find a fully signed and marshalled route, refreshments along the way and a finisher medal for all participants. Walk in the memory of a loved one, to support someone living with cancer or just to make a difference to local people. Sign up here.

Father Christmas Experience

Places are already filling up for our Father Christmas Experience at Layer Marney Tower on Friday 18 December. It’s our third year for this event and has previously sold out quickly so don’t delay in reserving your places here. Tickets include activities and crafts, live entertainment, storytelling, face painting, meeting with Father Christmas and a gift for each child. Plus mince pies and mulled wine for grown-ups.

Donate your pre-loved items

We are holding a donation day on Saturday 19 September 2026 from 9am to 12pm at our centre in Hatfield Peverel. By donating good quality items, you will be reducing waste, helping the environment and raising funds to support local people living with cancer. We accept clothing and accessories, toys, books, kitchen and homeware, ornaments, collectables, and any other valuable items. Items to be in new or in good condition and preferably eBay saleable. We cannot take electrical items. You can park at the rear of the building to drop off your items.

Saturday 19 Sept – Donation day at the centre in Hatfield Peverel. 9.00 to 12.00. Parking available for you to drop off your pre-loved items.
