Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Shop Takes Flight in Larger Burnham-on-Crouch Premises

Burnham shop opening

The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance charity shop in Burnham-on-Crouch has relocated to larger premises, just a few doors down on Station Road, following overwhelming support from the local community.

The new shop at 44 Station Road opened its doors on Friday 6th March, moving from its previous location at number 50. The expansion was necessary due to the generous volume of preloved goods donated by Burnham residents and the strong customer support for their life-saving local air ambulance service.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the occasion, attended by Burnham-on-Crouch Mayor Councillor Douglas Down, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance’s CEO Mark Jarman-Howe, trustee Roy Marfleet, pilots Ben and Lee, and the amazing team of volunteers, highlighting the strong community partnership that makes the service possible.

The expanded shop continues to stock a wide range of quality preloved items including clothing, bric-a-brac, books and toys. Shop manager Alison, along with Laura and their dedicated team of volunteers, are excited to welcome both regular customers and new faces to the spacious new premises.

“The Burnham community has been incredibly supportive,” said Alison Muir, shop manager. “The donations and custom from local people have been wonderful, and we’re thrilled to now have more space to serve them and raise vital funds for the air ambulance.”

Every purchase at the shop directly supports the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, helping to keep this crucial emergency service operational and ready to save lives across the region.

The new shop is located at 44 Station Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, CM0 8BQ.
