Minibus and/or Car Drivers – Chelmsford Community Transport
Can you help isolated people to get out and about?
Having access to affordable door-to-door transport helps with simple everyday tasks like shopping, visiting friends/social clubs and attending medical appointments (GP and hospital), tasks that most of us take for granted.
We are looking for volunteers to drive our fully accessible minibuses, or their own cars.
Could you help someone with Dementia do the things they love?
Side by Side is a service to help people with dementia to keep on doing the things they love – and try new things too! They meet up with a volunteer, decide what they’d like to do, and do it together.
Side by Side is a fun, friendly, super-flexible volunteering opportunity through which you’ll receive expert training and support to develop within your role.
Foster Carer and Trainer for Veterans’ Service Dogs
We train up rescue dogs so that they can make a profound difference to veterans who are suffering from PSTD. We need safe, loving foster homes where our rescue dogs can settle into life and begin their training, before being matched to the right veterans.
Community Speed Watch volunteer
Community Speed Watch Groups consist of volunteers from their local community, who all share the same concerns about speeding through their local villages. These volunteers are from all walks of life, with a variety of skill sets and knowledge, who give up their free time to assist with reducing the number of fatalities and serious injuries on our roads.
Trustees Needed
Trustees play a crucial role in guiding charities, helping make plans and decisions, and making sure they stay on track. It is a fantastic opportunity to make real difference to the organisation you volunteer for. You don’t need prior experience, just enthusiasm and dedication.
Trustee meetings are usually just 4 times a year, so this is a great role for people with busy lives who still want to help.
