The family of a man who sadly died following a collision in Althorne have described his “kindness, laughter and steady love”.
This tribute comes following a serious collision involving four vehicles, at the junction of Fambridge Road and Lower Burnham Road, shortly after 6.30pm on Wednesday 1 October.
Very sadly, Kevin Levins, 71, from Burnham, and Joanna Hills, 36, from Hullbridge, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Kevin’s family said:
“In memory of Kevin Levins, a loving husband, devoted dad, proud grandad, and dear friend.
“His kindness, laughter, and steady love filled every room he entered.
“He was the one you could always count on — for a helping hand, a good story, or a heartfelt smile.
“We will miss him deeply, but we carry him with us always — in our hearts, our memories, and the countless lives he touched.”
We continue to call for anyone with information about this collision to get in touch.
Detectives are now appealing for the occupants of a blue mini, with a white/light coloured roof and white wing mirrors, to come forward.
It is believed this vehicle was in the area at the time of the collision and the occupants could have vital information which could help us.
